Dizziness

Physical therapy for dizziness
Dizziness can be a troubling complaint that greatly affects your daily life. Whether it is a lightheaded feeling, a spinning sensation or a sense of instability, dizziness can make performing daily activities difficult and even lead to falls. We offer effective treatment options to address the causes of dizziness and thereby restore difficulties in daily living.
What is causing my dizziness?
Dizziness can have several causes, such as problems in the balance organ, neck problems, BPPD (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) or tension or, stress symptoms. Our physical therapists analyze your specific symptoms and determine the most appropriate treatment based on your situation and needs.

What are the treatments we offer?
At VMfysio, we offer an exercise program to train the balance system and teach the brain to cope with dizziness. This therapy is effective in complaints related to the balance organ. For people with balance disorders such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPD), we use specific repositioning techniques (Epley maneuver) to get the crystals in the inner ear back in the correct position. This treatment is very effective for BPPD.
