CVA (Cerebro Vascular Accident)

A CVA (Cerebro Vascular Accident) literally means ‘an accident in the blood vessels of the brain’. It occurs when the oxygen supply to the brain is suddenly interrupted by a blockage of a blood vessel (cerebral infarction) or when a blood vessel in the brain ruptures and blood gets between the brain tissue (cerebral hemorrhage). A CVA is also commonly referred to as a stroke.

Consequences of CVA
Consequences of a stroke are diverse and different for each person. Complaints can manifest themselves in physical problems, disturbances in thinking and/or changes in emotions or behaviour. We therefore believe that it is important.
